The story of a photographer
It was my senior year of high school when I got my first DSLR camera. I had been dabbling into video production with my VX 2100 video camera, when my parents decided that the classic 6.3 Megapixel Canon 300d was a great HS graduation gift. Some images that were created with that camera prove that craftsman is more important than the tool he's using!
After three semesters as a Video/Cinema major, I decided to switch directions and focus more on still photos, leading me a photography school that also taught video courses where I was able to refine my skills in both fields even more. Since graduating from Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2012, I've been trying my hand at all kinds of photography & video, dabbling into portraiture, products, family, pets, events, and more. Wedding photography has been an incredibly exciting endeavor since my first wedding that I photographed in 2012. Now , 12 years in, I average over 20 weddings a year, and each one is an exciting and unique challenge that grows my skill.
Since 2020, I have dialed back in the quantity of weddings so that I could not only focus on refining my craft, but also build commercial clientele, shooting for brands such as Samsonite, Langham Hotels, Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, and many local athletes, gyms, and business.
So who am I? Well, I love fitness, travel, coffee, great food, art, DIYing literally everything, chasing adrenaline, and all kinds of music. Like most full-time creatives, I'm a left-brain artist trying to run a business. It's a balancing act! I'm grateful for the years I've had and am so excited to see what the years to come have in store.
